Hey - you got it right - totally right. The good old mud flap has seen a lot over the years, and been seen a lot too! And you're right on about them being plain black rubber things that just had a job to do! The two classics, yes, the silhouette girl and Yosemite Sam. I'm sure I've seen Betty Boop back there too, which would always be cool! Now days, you can put and see anything back there, schools, car makes & models, sports teams, cartoon characters, Harley, you name it. It's become more than a great advertising space, it's a great place to make that personal statement you've always been wanting to make to everyone behind you!! Thanks for the memory and the smile!

@ArcaneKarma lol actually it's the minerals in water that make it conductive so :P lol on second thought tho, water might not be good cuz it could corrode the PC metal and gain it's conductivity from that

@randomdude3824

But isn't it the same thing thing when water contacts a copper water block? I thought that's why we use a mixer of distilled water and coolant, rather than tap water.

@ArcaneKarma yeah it will corrode the copper block slowly even if it's the classical water "pipe" cooling, but since it's closed loop, it never has contact w/ any actual electronic components and is safe. The coolant/water solution is meant to cool more efficiently than water alone. Just like your car radiator
